Show & Tell - Winter in my spring garden!
Are we really marching towards spring? I can hardly believe it when I look out of the window! We had snow on Easter and it has been snowing all night long on Wednesday!
Our boxwood garden and the pottery forcer that I ordered from the Netherlands last year. I really like it a lot, it's looks so very cottagy and can't wait to harvest our own rhubarb in a couple of weeks.
I took those pictures at 7.30 a.m. - just a few hours later, the snow already started melting. The light it so very special at this time of the day, isn't it?

Wow! What a winter wonderland. I love your garden and even checked out the alliums from last year. So beautiful. I am so happy to be able to see your beautiful garden.
I live in the desert so we are lucky if we ever get snow. I think it has snowed maybe 4 times in my lifetime here (I am 31) and even then it only lasts one morning. But I am not complaining. We do have splendid warm weather. LOL Just not as much beautiful green as you.
Anyway, I love your pictures and your blog.
Wendy
It is a huge difference from last week, but such is Spring!
Nancy
LG Lis

Anita,
Thank you sooo much for your sweet comment. Of course, I am really going to enjoy watching your garden. I have put your blog in my google reader so I won't miss a single post. I love blogs and finding women who have the same interests as I do. I really love gardening, even in the desert.
Thanks again,
Wendy from California
That looks cold! But it also looks like the plants and everything there is beginning to wake up for Spring and Summer blossoms!!!
Please do drop by. I'm sharing a bit of Gone With the Wind today.
I´m so sorry when your flowers and your wonderful garden is covered with snow! We get a LOT of snow in Easter but to day sun is shining and I think we still have a little bit of hope that SPRING is around the corner..
What great pictures, Anita, with the snow. It will be pure joy to watch your garden grow as you share with us again this year.
Susan
The snow is beautiful. It's unusual for us to get snow here in Texas although, 3 weeks ago we got a record-breaking 7 inches! I love rhubarb! For my hubby's birthday I always make him a rhubarb pie, last year it was Rhubarb & Blackberry pie! Yummy!
It's lovely Springtime here in Texas, everything is in color and blooming!
Connie
The boxwoods look beautiful covered with snow. We had 2 1/2 inches this morning.
The snow looks like delicate icing on your lovely garden. :)
Gina
Beautiful photos!
Living in Minnesota--I am with you..I'm so ready for Spring.
Lovely, lovely photos! This is what makes winter so beautiful! But, enough already! :)
Diane
hello! it seems that you have a wonderful garden. I discovered your blog on tildaaddicts. You made really pretty things. Bist du deutsch?
see you soon!
SNOW!! But you garden still looks beautiful! What a dream that would be to have that in my backyard!
I looks so pretty even covered in snow!!
This is a beautiful garden, you've
done lots of work. It looks terrific covered in snow.
Someone told me Deutschland doesn't get much snow in March, unless your near the mountains.??
Spring will be here soon. :)
Hallo Anita,
Your garden is beautiful, I would love to see it in full bloom. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful weekend!
Sandra
What pretty pictures, though the gardener in you must be itching for it to properly be spring and for everything to be flowering. We don't often get snow here in our part of Wales, but when we do, it is often a brief flurry in March (rather than Christmas, when I would welcome it!)
I love the design of your garden.
The pictures are so beautiful, but they make me almost shiver!! We live in Florida and had 80 degree weather today!
I always enjoy visiting your pretty blog!
Katherine
The garden-angel in the beginning of the interview with Tone Finnanger is MINE!! The Finnish Tilda addict have a show in Helsinki with over 100 Tilda things, I have that angel and a rubbit there. I am very suprised that my angel is one of those objects which come in TV, and yes, you can tell your frends in French Tilda addicts :))
Guten Morgen,
LG Jutta
Hi again!
I can´t do anything about the link, sorry, I dont know what it depence on when some can see it and some not, sorry!
( I´m so tired of all snow we have here so its for that i`m sorry of all snow you have in your garden... ;)
Your garden looks very pretty indeed with all the snow, one can really see the structure and design so well. I just can not believe you got snow too, and I am sure it is all gone by now. I do wish I could say the same here, but we still do have a bit of snow. Today it is raining, though, so I hope by the end of the weekend it all will have gone. I am so looking forward to starting the gardening season, I have participated in a garden design course this spring, and have thoroughly enjoyed it. So now I am all full of ideas and can hardly wait to get started. I do hope that your weekend is sunny and mild, and that you are able to enjoy your lovely garden.
I just love love love your photos!
Snow snow go away...
We had the darn stuff blowing in the air this morning but not landing this time. The sun did come out to try it's hardest to warm us up a bit.
Spring can be so frustrating.
What a pretty blanket of snow, Anita! I hope it melts quickly and your flowers are ok! Did you get some warmer weather this weekend? I made some great progress outdoors today. I got my secret garden cleaned up and flowers planted, helped Benjamin and Emily weed their little spots and cleaned and planted herbs and flowers in my fairy garden. On to the watergarden tomorrow!
Hugs,
Kelli
You really do have a beautiful winter garden! I like you booxwood garden looks nice with all the snow. In south of Sweden we had a lot of snow for Easter too but it's more or less gone now.
LG Karin
The snow falling really does bring a sense of peace with it, Ihave always felt that. The garden looks pretty.
Anita, We've had snow this week too, which is quite unusual. It did start warming up today and has not melted. You garden design is lovely in the snow also. Spring wishes - paula
I will thank you for all publicity you give me in the Tilda Addict blog!
THANK YOU!!!
Beautiful pictures!! Your boxwood garden looks so beautiful~even covered in snow! And I love the bench in the background!
Wishing you a happy spring!
Cat
How amazingly beautiful!!! Snow makes everything look so pristine!
Hallo Anita,
LG Gabriele
Poor flowers. I can see they are much bigger at your place then here.
I just wanted to tell you that I've changed address if your interested. My new one is:

Hi Anita!
You didn`t feel of your chair no did you? Yes it is me, back and alive :)) Sinds last time I am quite shure that this wonderful winter scenery is totally wanished?
We have had a few lovely spring days here in Holland and yesterday I felt our very first spring day. I woke up to singing birds and the sky was blue and filled with lots of light. It has such a wonderful effect on our well-being. Instantly you feel reborn and happy!!
I hope you are happy and well! What are you doing these days?
Here everything slowly comes together. Today our offer where accepted of one estate agent. That means that our house will be out there within a week of two. Exciting! Yes, let us hope that it will be sold quickly without too many problems.
Have a wonderful week Anita and take really good care!
Lots of hugs from Aina :))
It does look peaceful!
Happy Springtime!
Dear Anita,
Even with the snow your garden is beautiful! I hope all is well with you.
Hugs,
Cookie
Dear Anita,
Salutations! How exciting to stumble into your blog and discover another world, across the ocean and into Germany.
You add inspiration to my day, as I look, and look, and look, and look, at the vast erray of posts on your site---very tasteful, very creative, and lots of balance - well done!
Your 2005 shots of your bare block of land, reflects where I am at right now :(
Writing to you is a good 'time-out' exercise; feeling incredibly sore all over from digging down
18" from the existing garden beds, and replacing them with mushroom compost and potting mix.
Soil preparation is everything isn't it, and I know that all my hard work will eventually yield a huge dividend - my 1st Cottage Garden in America - yeah!
Well, I do hope you have a wonderful day and perhaps I can ask you a question here and there? Would you mind? Do you have an email account? My email is veilofvirtues@gmail.com
Prior to your gorgeous project, did you have any gardening/horticultural experience?
Take care - God Bless,
Deborah Choma
